 Heyyyy blog, this week me and partner could not record unfortunately. We were planning to record this week but my partner parents were out dropping of her sister in college. Her parents dont let her leave her house if their not there. This was really bad for us because we are already so behindddddd. But not to worry were gonna start recording next week or in spring break, which i know recording in spring break is wayyy to late so I'm hoping to record this week and start editingggg.  So we decided to use are time finding stuff we need that would help us with our editing and music. Music is a big part in film openings so we decided to find it now then later. This was kinda hard to find good music.

me and dani have found our music that we are going to use!! Honestly hardest thing we done since the script. Its actually so hard to find music that is royalty-free. Most websites these days you have to pay to get these music, but good thing in my class there was a lot of good website that were recommended that had free music. We are planning to use this music when our title pops up after the call. We wanted our music to give summer vibes, or something that was upbeat. We had many options that we have pick out, but came down to our top 3 which was Wrong Way - Soundroll, What a Feeling- Hey Pluto, Psychedelic Summer- Opening line music group. But we ended up pickingggg "Wrong way". We felt like it was the best choice out of all of them. Honestly were gonna keep this one but the music might change, it just depends on how our film is gonna look like. Thats all for now!!!!!

Research into necessary techniques

 soooo basically me and my partner look into more techniques that we want to use in our film opening. We found so inspo!!! 

First Technique!

Soooo this scene is from the movie mean girls. So basically one technique that we wanted to use in our film opening. Viewers are seeing a phone call happening with all the girls. So we want to do the same thing but with only two girls. The editing app that we will be using VN to create this. Although that might change if we can't figure out how to use it on that app. We want to use this technique when Sabrina and Ellie are calling each other and when Ellie reveals that she has the info they been wanting.

Second Technique  

This is from the show stranger things.

So for another shot that we did research on is for the biking scene in our film opening. This shot is going to be a tracking held shot scene. Unfortunately we don't have a drone or moveable cameras. So were using a car! So someone will be in  the back on a truck recording the whole thing while the driver drives slowly. We are using a handheld camera for the aesthetic were going for. Ellie will be the one riding the bike, because she riding her bike to Sabrina's house.

CCR Notes

 Heyyyyyy! So I have my Media Studies class and we learn what CCR is, also know as Creative Critical Reflection! Basically we have four questions to answer but For two questions, instead of just answering them, we have to answer them in a more creative way, and in the notes our teacher gave us has some options or ideas. 

Two Media Products

-Create two media products that strive to respond to the questions

Here are some options:

• Presentation w/ voiceover- export as a movie
• Director commentary- combination of director speaking on camera and examples from production  
• Talk show-"host" interviews director                                                                                   
• Enhanced podcast- discuss responses to questions, contextual sound is edited in to ensure engagement
•  Other- develop creative way to respond to prompts and illustrate techniques

How to answer each questions! 

Question 1!
How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups and issues?

• Start by discussing genre conventions-cite where you found this information
• Next, discuss which genre conventions you choose to challenge or discuss why you choose not to challenge genre conventions
• End with a discussion of representation. Remember, representation refers to the choices made in how individuals, groups, events, and issues are illustrated within a production.

Question 2!                                                                                                                   How does your produce engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text.

• Discuss how you arrived at your target audience cite necessary research
• Discuss how your production choices, content, etc. Work to engage with your target audience
• Next discuss how you plan to make your film available to audiences
• Response should address realistic options for an amateur filmmaker. For example, you would not release your film worldwide to theaters- this is only an option for major productions.

Question 3!                                                                                                                        How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

• Reflect on how your process evolved throughout the production
• Discuss how you begin with research and planning
• Offer specific details about both of these processes
• Discuss your approach to production. What did you have to change or adapt as you worked on the project.
• End with a reflection on where you started and where you ended. You may also discuss previous projects completed in class and how they helped you to develop your portfolio project

Soooo this basically the notes that I think are really important. I did have an idea but got told by my teacher that I shouldn't because it was over use last year and most of them were bad. My idea was get ready with me. Basically a trend that's going around on the app Tiktok. I'm a little brain dead on ideas right now but I will look on that a little later.

 Heyyyyyy! soooo I need to figure out what props I'm going to use for the film opening because before we can even start recording we need all the props in hand so on the day if recording we dont stop because were missing a prop because that would be really bad..... Soooo for the props that I said maybe on is because in the script it said that Sabrina grabs supplies for the poster, and honestly it can be any kind of supplies I just not sooooo sure on which stuff it is until we actually work on the poster. This is a very short short post but it does help me stay a bit more organize. Honestly its not a lot of props, but that's not necessary a bad thing. I may update this post if i decide to add more props in the up coming weeks

(Sabrina drops what she is holding and picks up the one)

        (concerned)

    wait.... but i feel like, no never mind.

     SABRINA

    Whattt no girl tell me you know i hate when you say that.

    ELLIE

    okay okay dont make it werid tho

        (talking fast)

    what happens if tristan ends up picking one of us, like i wanna support you but i also like him but i would also never but anyone in between our friendship you know what i mean like im js scared of lossing you like idkk like i dont mean to make things weird but-

      SABRINA

        (cutting ellies rant)

    No I get it, but I dont think we should be worrying about that, like thing about it hes js a crush theres no guaranteed hes gonna like one of us and we both would support it

Ellie shrugs and has a hessitant look

  SABRINA

    girll dont worry here

Sabrina gets up from the floor grabs a piece of paper and starts writing

     ELLIE

    what are you doing

       SABRINNA

    Shush!

 ELLIE

    okay jeez

Ellie finishes and goes back down holding a paper

  SABRINA

    Here lets make a pact i've written it all here in the contract

      ELLIE

        (she reads out loud)

    In the event of any conflicts or disagreements related to a tristan and who ends up with him, weENDE will address them promptly and maturely, seeking to find a resolution that preserves the harmony of our friendship.    SABRINA

    no its not sign here

Ellie signs the paper
